Cyclists and mountain bikers

Beaches and fishing villages

The beautiful sandy beaches and fishing villages of the south coast such as Looe, Polperro and Par Sands are all within an easy drive of Mount Pleasant, as is the more rugged coastline of the northern coast. There you can visit Tintagel, reputed to be the birthplace of King Arthur, or the surfing beaches of Newquay and Polzeath. St. Ives and Land's End are both within a days outing.

Eden Project

A short drive from Mount Pleasant is the amazing Eden Project, home to the world’s largest greenhouses. Currently there are two conservatories, one a majestic rainforest cathedral; The Humid Tropics Biome, the other host to the fruits, plants and flowers of the Mediterranean type regions; The Warm Temperate Biome. They form a majestic backdrop to the outdoor landscape; interlocking terraces telling the story of plants that have changed the world, started wars, halted epidemics, inspired artists, clothed, fed and sheltered us and which might be crucial to our future.
